SIRUI IronStar Series Debuts New Telephoto Focal Lengths at NAB 2026

At NAB Show 2026, SIRUI presented the latest additions to its cine lens lineup, engaging with filmmakers and industry professionals from around the world. Held in Las Vegas, the event continued to serve as an important platform for technical exchange and product introduction within the imaging and broadcast sector.

During the show, SIRUI introduced new focal lengths to its IronStar series: 75mm, 100mm, and 135mm T1.9 1.5x Full-Frame Anamorphic Cine Lenses. These additions extend the existing lineup, offering expanded flexibility across a wider range of shooting scenarios.

Broader Focal Range for Narrative Flexibility

With the introduction of longer focal lengths, the IronStar series extends into telephoto applications, enabling more precise subject isolation, controlled background compression, and greater flexibility in shot composition.

The lenses maintain a consistent 1.5x squeeze factor, producing characteristic anamorphic features such as oval bokeh and subtle horizontal flares, while keeping the overall image rendering balanced and controlled.

Consistent Optical Performance

The new lenses follow the established design approach of the IronStar series, supporting full-frame sensors and offering a T1.9 to T16 aperture range. This allows for reliable performance across varied lighting conditions, as well as controlled depth-of-field adjustments.

Neutral flare characteristics are designed to complement the image without becoming visually dominant. Combined with close focusing capability, the lenses support a range of visual styles—from detailed close-ups to more compressed cinematic compositions.
Notably, the 100mm focal length introduces macro capability, expanding creative possibilities for close-range shooting.

Practical Design for Production Environments

The IronStar series is built with standard cine workflows in mind. Key features include:

  • 0.8 MOD gear pitch and 270° focus rotation for precise manual operation
  • 95mm front outer diameter, supporting compatibility with common matte boxes and accessories
  • Interchangeable PL and EF mounts, allowing flexible use across different camera systems

These elements contribute to a consistent handling experience across the lineup, supporting both independent productions and larger-scale setups.

Continued System Development

The addition of 75mm, 100mm, and 135mm lenses further develops the IronStar series into a more complete anamorphic system. By extending the focal range while maintaining consistent optical characteristics, the lineup continues to support a broader range of production needs.
