IBC Global Premiere︱SIRUI Showcases Aurora 35mm F1.4 Debut & IronStar 1.5X T1.9 Official Release
At IBC 2025, SIRUI unveiled the global premiere of the Aurora 35mm F1.4 and officially launched the IronStar 1.5X T1.9 full-frame anamorphic lens, marking a dual highlight for creators worldwide.
SIRUI made a stunning debut at IBC 2025, where the company showcased its latest innovations to the global imaging community. Among the highlights was the Aurora 35mm F1.4 Full-Frame Autofocus Lens, the second addition to its Aurora autofocus series. First demonstrated on-site at IBC, the lens is scheduled to officially go on sale on September 29, 2025.

Designed for both photographers and content creators, the new 35mm model follows the earlier release of the 85mm F1.4 and extends the lineup with a versatile wide-angle focal length that balances portability and performance. It provides an accessible option for those seeking a fast aperture in a compact, full-frame autofocus lens.
With its 490g (E-mount) all-metal construction and 62mm filter thread, the Aurora 35mm F1.4 offers durability in a lightweight package. Its 35mm focal length makes it ideal for street photography, travel, environmental portraits, indoor scenes, and vlogging, delivering a natural wide-angle view that retains subject clarity while including contextual background details.

The optical construction consists of 1 SED ultra-low dispersion element, 2 ED elements, 1 high refractive index element, and 3 aspherical elements, enhanced with advanced nano multi-coating. This design minimizes distortion, chromatic aberration, and flare, while maintaining sharpness and contrast across the frame—even at F1.4.
Driven by a fast and quiet stepping motor, the lens supports accurate autofocus and advanced subject- and eye-tracking functions available on modern mirrorless cameras. The responsive focus system ensures reliable performance for both still photography and video production, making it a flexible choice for hybrid shooters.
Available in E, X, Z, and L mounts, the Aurora 35mm F1.4 is compatible with leading mirrorless systems from Sony, Nikon, Fujifilm, Leica, and others. SIRUI also officially joined the L-Mount Alliance this year, becoming the ninth company to adopt Leica’s standardized mirrorless mount. This move expands cross-brand compatibility, giving photographers and filmmakers more flexibility in mixing cameras and lenses across different systems.
Together with the 85mm F1.4, the 35mm strengthens the Aurora lineup, which is planned to expand across five key focal lengths, offering creators a complete toolkit that combines outstanding performance, portability, and value.
While the Aurora series serves photographers and hybrid creators, SIRUI is also broadening its reach to the filmmaking community. On September 11, 2025, the company introduced the IronStar anamorphic lens series, debuting with three focal lengths—35mm, 45mm, and 60mm—with more already in development.

The IronStar 1.5X Full-Frame T1.9 anamorphic series delivers a cinematic widescreen look with strong visual impact. Combining modern sharpness with vintage-style elements like oval bokeh and signature streak flares, it offers filmmakers an expressive and professional toolset.
With a lightweight build of around 1kg, interchangeable PL/EF mounts, and consistent design across focal lengths, IronStar ensures efficiency on set and smooth operation. Its fast T1.9 aperture makes it a versatile solution for independent filmmakers, commercial productions, and documentary projects seeking both cinematic aesthetics and practical usability.

With the dual expansion of the Aurora autofocus lineup and the IronStar anamorphic series, SIRUI continues to solidify its position as a rising innovator in imaging, empowering creators to tell their stories with clarity, style, and impact.
