Sirui rehouses its 1.33x anamorphic lenses for cinema rigs and adds T-stops
Sirui has introduced a new set of lenses bases on its existing four models. The Sirui MARS lenses are designed to offer better handling for rigged cameras, and come with built-in mod gears for both aperture and focus rings. The apertures have also been reclassified as T-stops and the focus throw of each of the models has been significantly extended to make accurate focus adjustments easier with follow focus equipment.
Sirui launches AM-2 Travel carbon fiber tripod series with five models and a ball head
SIRUI has announced its new carbon fiber AM-2 Travel Tripod series featuring a total of five tripod models.
They are lightweight, with the largest and heaviest model weighing in at 1.22kg (2.69lbs). The tripods are suitable for uses that range from macro to travel photography.
Sirui announces 35mm F1.8 1.33x anamorphic lens is on the way
The 50mm 1.33x anamorphic that was launched in February, this lens is designed for APS-C and MFT sensors. It will be only available in the MFT mount but there are adapters for Sony E, Canon EF-M and Nikon Z mount camera systems, according to a video placed on the company’s U.S. Facebook page. The lens will come with detachable geared rings for the focus and aperture rings, uses a 67mm front filter thread and has a minimum focus distance of 0.85m (2.8ft).

The Sirui 50mm F1.8 1.33x Anamorphic is interesting for more than a couple of reasons, but the thing that makes it immediately attractive is that at $700/£660 it’s a lot more affordable than almost all other proper anamorphic lenses for filmmakers using interchangeable lens camera systems.

Sirui has unveiled two new mobile lenses designed for photographers: the TL-400mm Long Focus Lens Kit and the VD-01 Anamorphic Lens. Both mobile lenses feature Schott optical glass, a multilayer anti-reflection coating and the promise of limited distortion and vignetting combined with 'high levels of light transmission' and ‘precise color rendition.’

After much teasing, Sirui has finally launched its second anamorphic lens for interchangeable lens systems. The first was the 50mm F1.8 1.33x anamorphic that came out at the beginning of this year, and the company doesn’t seem to be wasting much time getting its second model out to the market.

Mount adapter manufacturer MTF Services is targeting videographers using L and RF mount cameras with a pair of low-cost anamorphic lenses. The company is converting the Sirui Micro Four Thirds 35mm and 50mm F1.8 1.33x anamorphic lenses to work with Leica L and Canon RF mount cameras.
These lenses have an imaging circle wider than the APS-C format, so they work with Super35 sensor areas and even with full-frame recording with a 1.35x crop. With the Sirui 50mm F1.8 costing just under $700/£600 and the 35mm F1.8 costing less than $800/£770, these lenses are the only affordable anamorphic options to those shooting with a host of full-frame cameras.
Sirui launches Indiegogo campaign for its new $749 24mm F2.8 1.33x anamorphic lens
Lens manufacturer Sirui has started the crowdfunding campaign for its next lens, a 24mm F2.8 1.33x anamorphic lens for Canon EF-M mount, Fujifilm X mount, Micro Four Thirds (MFT) mount Nikon Z mount and Sony E mount camera systems (full-frame cameras must be in APS-C capture mode).

Sirui Optical has announced the impending release a third anamorphic lens, adding a 24mm wide angle to its existing 50mm and 35mm lenses. The Sirui 24mm F2.8 features a 1.33x squeeze factor and an imaging circle that covers APS-C. In common with the previous lenses this model will come in a native mounts for Micro Four Thirds , Sony E, Canon EF-M, Nikon Z and Fujifilm X cameras.
