Bringing Widescreen Storytelling to CP+: SIRUI Astra Series in the Spotlight

At this year’s CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show, SIRUI presented its latest developments to a global audience of filmmakers and imaging enthusiasts. As one of Asia’s most influential imaging exhibitions, CP+ serves not only as a stage for technological showcases but also as a platform for meaningful dialogue between brands and creators. At the SIRUI booth, the Astra series stood out as a key highlight.

Core Performance for Cinematic Creation

The Astra series is designed to support full-frame sensors and features a T1.8–T22 aperture range, delivering strong low-light capability and flexible depth-of-field control. Selectable manual and autofocus modes allow creators to balance precision and efficiency across different production scenarios. Internally, the lenses incorporate 18 elements in 14 groups and are supported by an expansive 44mm image circle, ensuring reliable coverage and consistent performance across the frame. A minimum focus distance of approximately 1.6 feet further enhances creative possibilities for close-up shots.

Widescreen Aesthetics with Practical Design

Visually, the Astra series produces neutral streak flares that add subtle cinematic atmosphere without overwhelming the scene. Native 2.4:1 aspect ratio support enables creators to achieve a widescreen look directly in-camera, while oval bokeh and vertical background stretch reinforce the distinctive anamorphic-style character. Practical design elements, including a 67mm filter thread and 72mm outer diameter, make the lenses easy to integrate into existing accessory setups for efficient on-set workflows.

Driving Global Growth for SIRUI

Through its presence at CP+, SIRUI not only showcased the capabilities of the Astra series but also accelerated its strategic expansion in the cinema lens market. As an internationally recognized imaging exhibition, CP+ provided a valuable platform for the brand to connect with industry professionals, partners, and creators from around the world.

By engaging in direct dialogue and product demonstrations, SIRUI further strengthened its global visibility while advancing its long-term growth strategy. The showcase reflected the brand’s ongoing commitment to delivering accessible, high-quality cinema tools designed to support modern visual storytelling. Through continuous innovation and closer engagement with the global creative community, SIRUI continues to build momentum in the international market.
